Reading Angela Carter's Book of Fairy Tales
Started reading Angela Carter's Book of Fairy Tales. "Now we have machines to do our dreaming for us." And I thought, "Yes, exactly!!! I should take a picture of this quote and share it with my friends." Then I continued reading and realized the author's point was actually that people are still creative, but storytelling is transforming. And it was already happening throughout human history. I could have just quoted that one line out of context and misrepresent authors idea completely. Journalists do that all the time 🤷♀️ I'll share a whole paragraph here and I encourage you to read the whole book.
